Windows 11 Upgrade for Campus Computers!

Dear Campus Community,

We are thrilled to announce that over the next few months, the College will begin upgrading all eligible campus computers to Windows 11, the latest operating system from Microsoft. This initiative is part of our commitment to providing technology that enhances productivity and security across campus.

Why the Upgrade? Windows 11 offers:

  • Improved performance and enhanced multitasking features.
  • Increased security to better protect your data and devices.
  • A modern, streamlined interface to improve usability and accessibility.

What You Can Expect:

  • Phased Rollout:  The upgrade will occur in phases over the next few months to minimize disruption.
  • Automatic Upgrade:  Please leave your Windows desktop computers on after 5pm for the upgrade to take place. Most computers will be upgraded automatically after hours.
  • Manual Upgrade:  For systems requiring manual intervention, our IT team will make an onsite visit.
