The Employee Sexual and Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Response Course (ESPARC) and Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) training must be completed by all Brooklyn College employees on an annual basis.
Employee Sexual and Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Response Course (ESPARC)
Under New York State’s Enough is Enough law, colleges and universities must provide ongoing education and training about sexual misconduct to students and employees. For this reason, all Brooklyn College employees are required to complete the Employee Sexual and Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Response Course (ESPARC) once each academic year.
How to complete this training:
This course is provided via CUNY Blackboard. All active employees can sign into their CUNY Blackboard account and navigate to My Organizations to view and complete the ESPARC 2024-2025 training. This training is also offered via Live sessions (see below).
Deadline:
- Part-Time Staff (including Adjuncts): December 20, 2024
- Full-Time Staff: May 30, 2025
Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP)
In compliance with New York State law and CUNY Policy, all Brooklyn College employees are required to complete training in workplace violence awareness and prevention once each academic year.
How to complete this training:
This course is provided via CUNY Blackboard. All active employees can sign into their CUNY Blackboard account and navigate to My Organizations to view and complete the WVP 2024-2025 training. To reduce any technical difficulties, you should plan to complete the training in one sitting. Be sure at the end of each Knowledge Check Section to check “mark as reviewed” to receive full credit for the training. This training is also offered via Live sessions (see below).

ESPARC & WVP Combo Training Live via Zoom
This course is a combined live training session for both ESPARC and WPV training conducted by the Campus Compliance Training Administrators. These live training sessions cover the same material as the ESPARC and WVP training on CUNY Blackboard.
