There are no approved state vendors. There are Suppliers who are registered with New York State in the State Financial System (SFS) and CUNYBuy. These Suppliers are registered to do business with CUNY.
The end user department can attach quotes from suggested vendors to their requisitions; the buyer can include these suggested vendors in the procurement process. If a suggested vendor is selected and not registered in CUNYBuy, registration must be completed.
Vendors who complete CUNYBuy registration, are assigned a State Financial System (SFS) and CUNYFirst Supplier Number and are now listed as Suppliers in CUNYfirst.
