Yes. On January 28, 2026, the Office of the Provost and Senior VP for Academic Affairs published official GenAI Usage Guidelines for Brooklyn College.
Because the use of Artificial Intelligence is rapidly evolving, this is a fluid document based on current best practices. We will update these guidelines as necessary as CUNY-wide technology and policies evolve.
Faculty are required to include course-based GenAI usage guidelines on all syllabi. This requirement will be added to the guidance on syllabus preparation sent to faculty prior to each semester.
