How to Complete the BC Employee PD Tracking Form

To support Brooklyn College’s reporting requirements, all departments are required to track employee participation in professional development activities using the BC Employee PD Tracking Form. This information will be submitted to CUNY as part of our annual compliance process.

Professional development is the continuous process of acquiring new knowledge, skills, and experiences to enhance an individual’s performance and career growth. It includes formal and informal learning opportunities such as training programs, workshops, certifications, mentorship, and conferences. The goal is to improve competencies, stay current with industry trends, and advance in one’s career.

PDL definition for Faculty Reporting: Training can include seminars, lunch-and-learns, workshops, webinars, special events, and other related activities. Appropriate topics range from pedagogical practices, course assessment, online-learning best practices, resources for course design, and more.
