• Lily Pond Update: Koi and Turtles Safe During Campus Work

    As work continues around Brooklyn College’s iconic Lily Pond, the koi and turtles remain safe, healthy, and carefully cared for throughout the project. The college community will be welcomed back to enjoy this treasured campus landmark once the work is complete.

  • Campus-wide Tree Removal/Pruning

    As part of regular maintenance and preparations for the Fall semester, an external vendor will be on campus to remove and prune trees across campus. The work is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23.

  • Library Closing Early Today, August 5

    The Brooklyn College Library will close today at 4:45 p.m., earlier than its regular 7:45 p.m. closing time, due to infrastructure issues. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

  • East Quad Project Update: Progress and What to Expect Beginning June 1

    Construction on the East Quad continues on schedule, with a new phase beginning June 1, 2026, that will temporarily change pedestrian access routes in the area. Community members are encouraged to review updated entry points and pathways as Brooklyn College advances improvements to create a more accessible and student-centered campus space.

    With colder temperatures expected, departments are reminded to close all windows and doors in offices, labs, storage areas, and unoccupied spaces, and to keep radiators on at all times. These precautions are essential to preventing frozen pipes, facility damage, and disruptions to campus operations.

  • Roosevelt Extension: Temporary Water Shutdown

    Facilities Operations will conduct a time-sensitive water shutdown today, February 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. in the Roosevelt Extension due to an active roadway water leak. Water service is expected to be restored before Wednesday, February 4, 2026, following completion of repairs.

  • BK Campus Eats Cafeteria – Spring Semester Hours

    BK Campus Eats will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please note that the cafeteria will be closed on days when classes are not in session.
