With colder temperatures expected, departments are reminded to close all windows and doors in offices, labs, storage areas, and unoccupied spaces, and to keep radiators on at all times. These precautions are essential to preventing frozen pipes, facility damage, and disruptions to campus operations.

Steam service to Ingersoll Extension will be shut down on Friday, September 12, for 24 hours to allow for repairs to piping and replacement of steam traps. An additional shutdown may be required at a later date.

The Boylan Hall Cafeteria has reopened in partnership with BK Campus Eats, offering a variety of new dining options. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Parking passes for the 2025–2026 academic year are delayed due to an ongoing issue. Current 2024–2025 passes remain valid until August 31, 2025, and first-time applicants may submit payment and required documentation at the West Quad Bursar’s Office.
Brooklyn College partnered with National Grid and Steam Management to replace steam traps over the summer. The final phase of this work is now underway, completing repairs on the remaining radiators.
