What happened to my Adobe Creative Cloud All App license?
In January 2026, CUNY replaced all employee Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps licenses with a new central license connected to your CUNY Login. Full-time employees, outside of Visual Media and Performing Arts and Communications departments, will no longer receive Creative Cloud All Apps licenses, but will instead receive Adobe Express and Adobe Acrobat Pro licenses.
The new Adobe Express and Acrobat Pro licenses are for FULL-TIME staff only. If you are a teaching part-time and need access for your class, please request access at the start of the semester, and you will be assigned a license for the duration of your class.
How do I access my new Adobe license?
The new Adobe licenses are linked to CUNY Login. You will need to sign out of your current Adobe Creative Cloud account and sign back in using your CUNY Login.
- Open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.
- Sign out of your existing account.
- Sign in using your CUNY Login.
- Select the new CUNY – Brooklyn profile when prompted.
How do I know when my new CUNY Adobe license is ready?
You will receive a series of email communications from Adobe:
- You will receive an email from Adobe when your Adobe Express EDU license is activated
- You will receive an email from Adobe when your Acrobat Pro license is activated
- You will receive an email from Adobe when your original All Apps EDU license is no longer active.
How can I check which Adobe applications I have access to?
Remember to sign out of your previous account and sign in with your CUNY Login to see the apps included in your new CUNY license.
Sign in to https://www.adobe.com/apps or open the Creative Cloud desktop app and select the Apps option to view All Apps.
The Apps included in your license will be listed at the top with an option to open or download.
The Apps below that have a Buy button are not included in the new license.
Will I still be able to use Adobe Acrobat Pro?
Yes. The new CUNY license will include the full Adobe Acrobat Pro desktop application. You can also edit PDF files on Adobe Express. You should see Acrobat in your list of available applications.
