CUNY Cybersecurity Awareness Training

CUNY offers a 40-minute interactive Cybersecurity Awareness Training course for Employees that covers practical tips for protecting yourself and the college against online threats. All faculty and staff are encouraged to complete this training on Blackboard.

The course is tailored to CUNY employees and helps you gain a comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity risks we all face, along with some best practices for safeguarding your data and opening dangerous links or attachments.

To access the training, open Blackboard and select Brooklyn College Cybersecurity Awareness Training FY23-24 under My Organizations. Our collective effort in understanding cybersecurity best practices plays a pivotal role in protecting the college’s data, resources, and reputation.

Phishing attacks, spam, and hacked accounts have unfortunately become common occurrences in higher education. Increasing awareness about online risks is your, and the University’s, best defense against cyber threats and protecting online information and data. Learn more about spoofing and phishing scams.
