Getting started with college email on Microsoft 365

Your CUNY Microsoft 365 (M365) account is automatically created shortly after you start working at Brooklyn College. If you are teaching or working at another CUNY college, your Brooklyn College email will appear in the same mailbox. Learn more.

  1. If you have not already done so, claim your CUNYfirst account, so you can see your CUNY Login username and set your password.
  2. Connect to your M365 account on the web. (Sign in using your CUNY Login credentials.) Do this before configuring any devices and applications.
  3. When you first sign in to M365, you will be prompted to configure multi-factor authentication.
  4. After successfully signing in to your M365 mailbox on the web and setting up multi-factor authentication, you can configure your devices to send and receive college email.
