What is considered a Smart Learning Space?

Smart Learning Spaces (classrooms and lecture halls) are equipped with:

  • A Lectern with built-in projection controls, flat-panel instructor computer display, PC/MAC computer with CD/DVD player, amplifiers, and walk-up laptop video/sound connections
  • Ceiling mounted video projector
  • Sound system
  • Projection screen  (electric or manual)
  • Dimmable lighting
  • Room-darkening window shades
  • Network connectivity to the lectern

Some rooms have: 

  • Digital Document camera to project paper documents
  • A desktop tablet or a Sympodium interactive display to facilitate image annotation
  • Podium mounted or wireless microphones
