How do I remove a multi-factor verification option from my Microsoft 365 account?

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft 365 My Account portal.
  2. Select Security info in the left menu or by using the link in the Security info pane. If you have already registered, you’ll be prompted for two-factor verification.
  3. Select Delete to remove the verification option.

You need to add at least one other valid verification option, before you can remove the default.
