Getting Started with Microsoft 365 at CUNY

What is Microsoft 365 (Office 365)?

CUNY licenses Microsoft Office 365 for Education for all CUNY employees and students. Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of professional-grade business applications — including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams. You can use these applications on the web and download or install them on up to five devices (computers, tablets, and smartphones).

You also have access to cloud-only services, such as 1TB OneDrive storage, SharePoint online, Forms, Planner, Sway and Delve.

IMPORTANT: Use of Office 365 is subject to CUNY Security and Computer Use policies as well as the data privacy, security and confidentiality guidelines established in the Acceptable Use of University Data in the Cloud Policy.

How do I access Office 365 services?

  1. Open your browser and go to office.com
  2. Sign-in using your CUNY Login credentials
